Like Brad, I've joined the Hotline Webring, because webrings are cool, and random personal site discovery is fun.

Feels like a good day to add Alter Bridge back into a commute playlist… 🤘⭐🤘

My local store is doing a 1500 points “Tale of Gamers” thing for AoS in March + April. I’m getting an urge to do that next, after Necromunda wraps up in 5 weeks. I’m feeling inspired to do something Legion of Blood related… but what to pick?!

I had another really fun night at Necromunda campaign night. Lost 6-7 to Enforcers, in the Meat Harvest scenario (defending). I was winning, but choose to flee after a couple of key gangers went out of action, leaving me outgunned and out of position…

I almost didn't realise it was time to leave the office because it was so light and sunny outside. It makes a change from all the dark, winter gloom 😅

Speaking of Shorcuts, I really wish there was a way to copy-and-paste actions. Having to manually recreate actions from scratch every time gets tedious very quickly, especially in big Shortcuts with multiple branching paths.

For someone who really can’t stand black coffee, I sure do seem to drink a lot of it…

Performing triage on my podcast backlog this morning drove home to me how uninterested I am in “Match Play” Warhammer right now … #warmongers

Things I want to add to my site this year:

– a page which tracks my Read-of and Listen-of posts for that year (with a certain tag/category), broken down by month
– automatically generated OPML links for each category in my Links manager

Things I want to fix on my site this year:

– improve how the different post types are displayed in RSS
– whatever integration issue I have w/ Bridgy, when posting from the main UI
– add more colour and visual interest
– default display of reposts

I’ve dug out two old Zone Mortalis resin tiles from the hobby backlog cupboard. My plan is to create a little display board for my Delaque. I’ve just got to come up with some sort of plan on how I want it to look…

So… modern Necromunda is pretty darn good, innit? Had loads of fun in my first game, played for start of a campaign. Lost to a Genestealer Cult, but it was very close until I had a bad run on the injury dice in my 3rd turn.

For the first time ever, I’ve had a low power warning on my Apple Watch. I mustn’t have put it on the charger properly last night… or maybe even the night before as well. Normally I can get 2-4 days from a charge, depending on how many workouts I track in a day.

#Warmongers – what’s your favourite "skirmish"-sized case? I’m in the market for something to transport 16 or so Primaris infantry sized models, that’s small and robust enough I can it chuck into my work rucksack alongside my laptop/chargers/etc.

I might also have accidentally volunteered myself to take part in a Necromunda campaign. I should probably build one of the gangs I have, and get a copy of the rule books…

Got my first wave of Sororitas ordered. Two of each squad box, to fill out a battalion. I’ll pick up the Triumph once I’ve worked through the “core” and have enough for it to be a centrepiece, and not just a lone display piece surrounded by grey plastic. ⚜️

Managed to escape the festive period with only a 1.4 kilo gain. I’ll take it, given how "off the wagon" I fell! 😅

I regret to inform everyone in the #warmonger community that, despite the derpy appearance, the Citadel Spray Stick is actually really bloody good it what it’s supposed to do, and worth every penny. Believe me, I’m as shocked as you 🤯

I have new coffee to try tomorrow morning on my way to work, which I’m very excited by… and then I get to do it all again in the afternoon with *another* new blend specifically ground for the French press I was gifted at Christmas. ☕️ 😍

I know there’s an easy joke about “[haven’t] been paid since last year/decade”… but by heck does it really feel like it’s been that long already, and there’s still weeks to go.

I renewed my library card yesterday. Well, I say “renewed”… it had been so long that they couldn’t find me in the system and had to create a new account for me (which saved me the £2 fee for a replacement card). I used to go to the library almost every week as a kid, and I’m hoping to get back into the habit this year.
