I went in the summer with my daughters to see The Lion King remake. I guess it was fine, but it had very little "charm," and something was lost in the translation from cel-based animation to CGI. The kids seemed to like it enough – albeit not as enthusuastically as other films we’d watched around then – but I was bored throughout. Maybe because I’ve seen the original so often? I spent most of my time looking for the differences in scenes and dialogue because I just couldn’t connect fully with the film on any level.
