💬 Replied to: Old Bloggers and New

“I like to read what people write about RSS readers.

One of the themes goes something like this: “I used to use an RSS reader, then I stopped, years ago. I decided to try it again — so I imported my old list of subscriptions. Over half the feeds were gone or no longer updating! Poor one out for RSS.””

an author (inessential)

For every inactive site in my OPML file, I’ve been discovering two more lately through exploring and following sites in the IndieWeb. One site posts something which leads you to something new – i.e. how it used to work before RSS "died" with Google Reader.

P.S. it’d be **great** if some future version of NetNewsWire supported Microsub servers in addition to RSS syncing services 😃
