Baking a full-size (keto) cheesecake, because the bite sized versions I made the other week turned out so well 🤤
Scream Queens is probably my favourite show at the moment, having only recently discovered it. It’s so bizarre, quirky, and dumb. I’ve genuinely laughed out loud more at this show than anything I can recall in recent memory.
A few photos from today’s walk:
Went for a lovely walk into Aberdeen today. We took a detour into Seaton Park, followed by the Cruickshank botanical gardens and Old Aberdeen. In all it was a 6.1KM walk, after which we treated ourselves to a toastie from Melt, followed by ice cream from Mackies, before walking 4.6KM home again. “Tired but content” best sums up how I’m feeling right now!
It’s strange to think that for years, and even at the start of this year, I didn’t like halloumi, but now I absolutely love it. Proof I guess that our tastes change and evolve over time.
I have to finish a large model painting project by this time next week. The unfortunate thing, is I’m about a week behind where I planned to be by now. I can still make it in time, but it’s going to be a crunch, and down to the wire…
According to the scales, I lost 5kg over the last week. Four more weeks of that (unlikely, but 🤞) and I’ll hit my weight goal.
While I was waiting to get my vaccine, there was a constant stream of people checking out the shelf of products marked “[will] help you sleep better.” I thought that was interesting in the context of my two posts from this morning.
Just had my annual flu vaccine. Even if my work wasn’t paying for it, I’d probably get it anyway, as vaccines are good.
I just had to walk out of the office because the three different conversations happening around me became overwhelming. This is your periodic reminder that open plan offices suck.
On the subject of lack of sleep.
I had a bad night’s sleep, and have been awake since the early hours of the morning, so I’m already starting to flag. Today is probably going to be very long.
Whoops! There goes Twitter, pulling a Facebook 🙃
There are a lot of managerial visitors to our office today —or as I put it to my PM: “there are more organ-grinders than monkeys.”
