This is a great initiative. As someone trying to ease their partner into the hobby, anything that lowers the barriers and shows that “it doesn’t have to be perfect” is welcomed and encouraged is to be applauded.
I’m purposely waiting for the new paints to hit the shelves before starting the painting lessons, because I don’t want her to get overwhelmed with all the techniques to learn. Having something that can let her achieve decent results quickly and easily frees her to experiment and experience all aspects of the hobby without getting bogged down with the expectation of painting everything first.
